Adept series by Katherine Kurtz & Deborah Turner Harris (#1~2,4~5)
Requirements: ePUB Reader | 8.9 MB |
Overview: Katherine Kurtz was born in Florida during a hurricane, earned degrees from the University of Miami and UCLA, and published her first novel, Deryni Rising, in 1970: the first venture by Ballantine Books into what became the modern fantasy genre, following on the heels of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Since then, her work has run to four trilogies and a singleton thirteenth novel in the Deryni series, several companion volumes and anthologies, plus nearly as many novels in the realm of historical fantasy, such as Lammas Night, Two Crowns for America, Saint Patrick’s Gargoyle, and the seven novels of the Adept and Temple series—these last with co-author Deborah Turner Harris. With a B.S. in Chemistry and a Master of Arts degree in English History, she is an avid researcher of Scottish and Templar lore, a student of comparative religion, a trained hypnotist, and also attended medical school for a year before deciding she would rather write about medicine than practice it. For the past fifteen years, she has made her home in a gothic revival house in Ireland with husband Scott MacMillan, two silly-looking dogs, three cats, and at least two resident ghosts
