Overview: Julie E. Czerneda (pronounced Chur-nay-da) was born on April 11, 1955 in Exeter, Ontario, to Everett Norman and Joy Margaret (Lace) Starink. She graduated from the University of Waterloo, B.Sc. (with honors) in 1976; the University of Saskatchewan in 1978; and Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, also in 1978.
On her first day at the University of Waterloo, Czerneda met her future husband, Roger Henry Czerneda. They married on July 24, 1976; and have one child, Jennifer Lynn.

At age ten Czerneda discovered science fiction. Andre Norton’s Star Rangers. Which she found by reading all the N authors in her school library. Noticing, her father began to bring her home paperback editions of the pulps he’d loved as a child, two books each payday.
The Czerneda’s currently live in Crescent, Orillia, Ontario, Canada.

The book contains 36 of 38 of Czerneda’s short fiction, including some rare stories; all scanned and created from their original sources.
