Overview: Brenda Cooper was born on August 12, 1960 in Encino, California. She was educated at California State University, Fullerton, where she earned a BA in Management Information Systems. She also completed an MFA at StoneCoast, a program of the University of Southern Maine.
Cooper began her writing career with the publication of “Ice and Mirrors” (co-written with Larry Niven) for the February 2001 issue of Asimov’s Science Fiction. Her first novel, Building Harlequin’s Moon, also co-written with Larry Niven, was published in 2005.
Brenda Cooper lives in Woodinville, Washington with her family and three dogs; and is the Chief Information Officer of the city of Kirkland, Washington.
