Overview: Mike Shepherd (the pseudonym of Mike Moscoe) was born on August 2, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born into a Navy family and travelled a lot as a child. It was not until high school that he finished a full year in the school he started.
Shepherd sold his first published writing, “Summer Hopes, Winter Dreams”, for the March 1991 issue of Analog Science Fiction and Fact. He is best-known for the very popular “Kris Longknife” series; about a wealthy young naval officer who struggles to deal with the expectations and reputation of her famous family of military leaders, politicians, and billionaires.
Mike Shepherd currently lives in Vancouver, Washington.
