Overview: Cosmos Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazine was a short-lived bi-monthly science fiction and fantasy magazine that ran from May 1977 to November 1977. It was published by Baronet Publishing Co and edited by David G Hartwell with Jack Gaughan as art editor. This Cosmos Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazine contained a sophisticated mixture of science fiction and fantasy in an elegant format which included full-color interior illustrations. Cosmos Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazine had one of the most promising launches of the decade but, undercapitalized and suffering distribution problems, it folded.
This magazine was NOT A REVIVAL of the 1950s pulp magazine of the same name.
