Overview: When a teacher seeks to eradicate super powered beings from the Twin Cities metro, his grandson becomes ensnared in a game with life or death stakes. A eugenicist community who wishes to see an end to the use of these powers sits on one side of the conflict, and a family of deranged sociopaths on the other. In order to rise to his grandfather’s challenge, this painfully average college student must take on the burden of caring for the youngest member of that dangerously unhinged family, and try to pull him back from the edge. But it quickly becomes apparent he’s in over his head when the matron of the household calls for one last family dinner, to which this youngster is not invited.
To become the antithesis of these super powered beings, our young protagonist must learn to be satisfied with himself, and shake off the temptation to pursue power, but in doing so he opens himself to being consumed by it.
