Overview: Alex Apostolides was born on November 1923 in San Francisco, California. He was an archaeologist, museum curator, journalist and author who began to publish sf with “Progress Report” for the July 1953 issue of If. All but one of his stories (“Sandy Had a Tiger” for the August 1958 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction) were written in collaboration with Mark Clifton. He died on September 27, 2005 in El Paso, Texas.
