After the death of their beloved daughter, a grieving woman’s husband persuades her to add a new augmentation to their home to help them cope: a non-corporeal AI child. A child who is no more real than their storybook-styled house or their garden filled with otherworldly fruits and vegetables. And yet this bodiless program is still considered a person in the eyes of the law. So, what is a grieving mother to do when she becomes convinced that her AI child is actually a monster?
