Overview: Steven R. Boyett was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1960, grew up all over Florida, and attended the University of Tampa on a writing scholarship before quitting to write his first novel, Ariel, when he was nineteen.
In addition to his novels, he has published stories in literary, science fiction, fantasy, and horror anthologies and magazines, as well as publishing essays and comic books.
In 2006 he launched two music podcasts, Podrunner and Groovelectric, that immediately became international hits, and established Boyett in the vanguard of the first wave of podcasting.
