Overview: America is experiencing its darkest period since the Civil War. Schisms divide us on race, religion, sexual preference, wealth, healthcare, personal choice, family planning, weapons control, police abuse, and even if we want a livable environment. Hatred has been engrained so deeply as to incite violence even on wearing a medical mask for safety. Dishonesty and sexual perversion are the standard practice for the GOP and white privilege has replaced justice. Fundamentalists Christian leaders glorify the worst leaders and offenders of accepted norms emboldening this new cult. Decisions now determine if democracy will survive and future generations will prosper. Decisions we make now will determine if earth will be inhabitable for human existence in seventy years. Understanding the atrocities that created the repressive authoritarian regime and captivated white supremacists and conspiracy movements and coalesced them into anti-government militias is vital to resolving the division in America. Trump’s campaign to Make America Great Again became the cult to overthrow the government to even a point of calling for a Civil war. The TV and media News report this as a bipartisan problem. It is not bipartisan, it is from the Republican party and has been accumulating for over fifty years. If this strikes you as exaggerating, you need to read this book. Thomas Jefferson’s quote predicted this as a must read when he said, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”
