Overview: In ancient Egypt, 3400 years before Christ, Hazem, the pharaoh’s son and heir to the throne, falls madly in love with Nebseni, a beautiful actress. With his father’s death, Hazem assumes the throne and marries Nebseni.
Time passes, and the son so necessary for the pharaoh to leave as heir to the throne does not arrive. Nebseni is then forced to ask her husband to find a second wife (something permitted at the time) so that she can bear the longed-for child.
With no choice, Hazem accepts the suggestion and marries Nofretiti, a young woman who has been in love with him since childhood and is the sister of his best friend. But Nofretiti marries for a purpose far greater than giving the pharaoh an heir; her goal is to destroy Nebseni, to erase her forever from Hazem’s heart, so that only she may reign there.
