Overview: ‘Wisdom and Grace’ consists of Lectures of Mahaswami, 68th pointiff of the Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt. His discourses in Tamizh, being very clear and definite, themed various aspects of Hindu religion and its Veda dharma sastras, literature, art and architecture, philosophy, history and geography, etymology, iconography and political governance.
These lectures were first published in 1933, by Sri. R. Narayanaswami Iyer. Later, in 1957, Sri. N. Ramaratnam brought out these speeches of His Holiness in print edition, in his ‘Kalaimagal’ magazine.
‘Shatpadi Strothram’ and other selected lectures have been translated by, Justice Prabha Sridevan, and published in English by, R. Narayanasamy, the aim being primarily to reach out to young minds, perceiving ancient religious and cultural heritage.
