My writing influences are seriously old-school – Richmal Crompton, P.D. Wodehouse and Agatha Christie spring to mind. I can’t be doing with enigmatic endings – neat plots are everything to me. And snappy dialogue (not always present in Christie I admit) is what I aspire to. You, dear reader, can judge whether I ever achieve that!
Oh yes, and I’m a huge fan of country music. Three chords and the truth, that’s what they call it, but it’s often a novel squeezed into two verses and a chorus.
