Overview: The Guppy Chapter of Sisters in Crime is an online community for crime fiction writers. It was started by several unpublished members of Sisters in Crime (SinC) in 1995 as a place to support each other with advice and encouragement. The Guppy Chapter offers writing and promotion classes, critique groups, a quarterly newsletter, and smaller subgroups to assist in the publication process. Members range from beginners to award-winning authors.
Ramona DeFelice Long is an American author, independent editor, and online writing instructor. As a writer, her short stories and creative nonfiction have appeared in literary, regional, and juvenile publications. She has been awarded artist fellowships and scholarships from the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Delaware Division of the Arts, the Pennsylvania State Arts Council, Philadelphia Stories, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
