Hardy Krüger was best known as an international movie star. His deep connection to Africa began during the 1960 filming of Hatari!, after which he purchased the movie’s Tanzanian location, Momella Farm, and operated it for 13 years as a boutique bush hotel. This period inspired his transition into a prolific writing career. He authored 16 books, including memoirs, short story collections, and novels.
