Overview: In the days of tall ships it was neither the wind nor the water but the crewmen’s labour that was the driving force of merchant vessels. In response to the rhythms of the work and never-ending shipboard tasks, sailors the world over developed a unique culture of singing. These songs became known as Sea Shanties. Today, Great Highland Bagpipers and Scottish Smallpipers can play their music using this unique book!
