Overview: Outsiders isn’t a crime drama; it’s drama that involves crime – and corruption, fear and paranoia. This is a spotlight on desperate people as their lives fatally unravel.
OUTSIDERS IS SET DOWN DIMLY LIT BACKSTREETS AND DEAD-END ALLEYWAYS, IN THE PLACES YOU SHOULDN’T GO AFTER DARK, AND SHOULD NEVER GO ALONE.
There are outsiders in every town and every city; people living on the edge, on the fringes, who don’t fit in, can’t fit in, won’t fit in; dispossessed people who have slipped through the cracks in society and fallen by the wayside. They inhabit the shadows, hiding in plain sight in the derelict buildings and the forgotten places.
Danny doesn’t fit in; he is always cold and hungry and afraid. Danny is on the run. He harbours a secret: a secret he must protect with his life.
When three men arrive amongst the homeless community asking questions, life on the streets suddenly becomes more dangerous, darker and more deadly. For the outsiders, the clock is ticking. Time is running out.
Outsiders is honest and gritty, funny and tragic. It paints a realistic noir landscape, populated by real people with real voices. This is the story of those ordinary people who have to battle each day just to stay alive, to overcome their fears and their demons – flawed and desperate people in search of a way out.
Outsiders is set in a nightmare world that any of us could so easily find ourselves in.
IF YOU DON’T BELONG, YOU’RE AN OUTSIDER.
