LEFT eye STORIES: The good, bad, and sometimes funny stories behind photo assignments by John S. Stewart
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 31 MB
Overview: John S Stewart tells the backstories of photo assignments he has carried out over a 50-year career in photojournalism. Stewart began chronicling these accounts as a blog by the same title and has expanded them in a book. His photo assignments have taken him no more than 100 miles from his home in the Ozarks but have yielded images and stories from presidential campaigns, candid moments with celebrities, and life in the in the Ozarks.

Working as a photojournalist for small community newspapers and later freelancing for wire services, magazines and metropolitan newspapers, Stewart takes you on a manhunt through the rugged Ozark hills and into the courtrooms of bizarre and hideous murder trials. Climb with him as he spends a day with painters as they paint a water tower inside and out and find out how they get down in 30 seconds. Go along on a fishing trip with presidential candidate George W Bush and his secret service detail and find out who needs protection from whom.

Tornadoes, celebrities on stage and off, motorcycle gangs, and celebrated rodents are just a few of the assignments Stewart profiles in LEFT eye STORIES. The stories you read in newspapers and magazines about events, people, and news are focused on the event, the person, and the newsworthy story. LEFT eye STORIES takes you behind the story for publication for the good, the bad, and sometimes the funny anecdotes about getting those stories and photographs.
