Seeds of Hope: The Azure Standard Story―Abundant Living through Healthy Food by David Stelzer, Ken Abraham
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 16 mb
Overview: The inspiring true story of how one farmer’s fight for clean food sparked a nationwide organic movement and built one of America’s largest independent food distributors.
David Stelzer nearly died before his fifth birthday. Wracked by severe autoimmune reactions and chronic asthma, he spent years confined to the couch while doctors offered no solutions. It was a naturopathic physician—and a radical change in diet—that saved his life, igniting a family’s multigenerational commitment to healthy soil and clean food.
In Seeds of Hope, Stelzer tells the remarkable story of how his family’s Oregon wheat farm became Azure Standard, now one of the largest organic and natural food providers in the United States. From his great-grandfather’s flight from pre-war Ukraine, through an IRS raid that nearly destroyed the family, to the founding of a company built on faith, grit, and uncompromising quality, this is a story of conviction tested by fire.
But Seeds of Hope is more than a business memoir. It’s an unflinching look at the forces threatening America’s food supply—from glyphosate-saturated farmland to a healthcare system that profits from keeping people sick—and a practical case for why regenerative agriculture offers a way forward.
