Overview: Colton wants to use sorcery. The undead want to use him.
When Colton notices two young sorcerers have come to his small town, he knows it can only mean one thing. Something potentially dangerous must’ve spawned nearby, and clearing this rare spawning will yield a powerful reward. Colton has waited years for an opportunity like this, and he’s not going to let it be taken away. Using a bit of trickery, he ends up at the spawning before the two sorcerers. But can he clear it with no sorcery, and fast enough before the sorcerers come and take the reward for themselves?
What Colton doesn’t know is that this choice will start him down a path toward a certain type of magic he’s never heard of before. He may just become a sorcerer, but not without attracting something powerful from the realm of the undead. Determined not to let it interfere with his dreams, he carries on as best he can, but he might find that there are some forces greater than even the most determined minds.
