Sinbad: The Complete Tales of the Wandering Mariner by Gyula Krúdy
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 2.74mb | Retail
Overview: Not the sailor from the Arabian Nights. The Hungarian one.
The complete Sinbad stories, in English for the first time.
Gyula Krudy’s Sinbad is a mariner who never goes to sea. He travels instead through the small towns of old Hungary — through inns and manor houses, snowbound stations and
provincial theatres — revisiting the women he loved and the man he used to be.
He is by turns a young hussar, an ageing gentleman, a ghost, and a voice speaking
from beyond his own funeral.
Time in these pages does not run forward. It circles.
