Overview: They knew her as la dame qui boite—the limping woman who outran the Gestapo
1941: As Hitler’s armies sweep across Europe, American Virginia Hall convinces the Special Operations Executive (SOE) to send her into Occupied France, where she helps organize underground networks to spy on the Nazis. Though Virginia lost her leg in a hunting accident, she refuses to let her disability stand in her way and becomes the leader of her own circuit, Heckler.
But when Heckler is betrayed by a double agent, everything Virginia has built begins to crumble. Can she outwit the traitor in her midst, or will her circuit—and Virginia herself—pay the ultimate price?
