Elevenever: A Memoir And A Half by Kevin Chaba, Amelia Chaba
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 500 KB
Overview: If love is a wonderland, then vodka is a rabbit hole. So it goes in Elevenever.
The ‘Memoir’ is a tale as old as time. Boy meets Girl. Boy likes Girl. Boy and Girl immediately glom onto their budding relationship as an escape from their family problems. Boy and Girl move to LA, but instead of pursuing their clearly-stated dreams, they just get wasted every night. The sclerae of Girl’s eyes start turning yellow. Classic.
The ‘And A Half’ is the Girl’s poignant story—told in her own words—of growing up as the daughter of an alcoholic mother. It remains unfinished.
The irony is not lost on the Boy. In sweet, silly, and moving scenes from their relationship, Elevenever memorializes eleven years under the influence (five of which involve narcotics).
