Overview: Phoebe Fenix has spent her life on the Violet world of Pheyrath, surrounded by ash, mourning, and expectations she never chose. When she finally stands before the seven Cores at the Convergence, she wants one thing:
To be chosen by the Yellow Core.
Yellow means light. Freedom. Solara.
A beginning.
But the Convergence reveals something about Phoebe that was never supposed to exist, and before Phoebe has the chance to understand what she is, everyone else has already decided what she should become.
The Rainbow Phoenix.
Pulled into a conflict between the Spectrum Concord and the resistance fighting against it, Phoebe finds herself surrounded by people who all seem to have an answer for what she is, what her power means, and what she owes the worlds because of it.
The Concord wants control. The resistance wants hope. And an ancient legend is beginning to sound a little too much like her name.
But Phoebe isn’t interested in becoming anyone’s weapon, symbol, or prophecy. First, she has to figure out which parts of her belong to everyone else’s idea of the Rainbow Phoenix, and which parts are simply Phoebe Fenix.
