Overview: Johji Tsubota wrote hundreds of short stories for children. He was very good at describing dreams, at telling stories, at describing the actions of children at play and the actions of animals. This collection does not include any of his famous dreams (“The Rock” comes close, though), but still it contains a few of his “storytelling stories” and introduces you to the three brothers, Shohta, Zenta, and Sampei, who appear so often in his stories.
