Four years later, far older than the friends I had left at home, I left the military. Since that time, I have been a deckhand on a tug boat, worked manual labor in half a dozen jobs, went to college managing to work my way through the University of Texas and picking up a degree in History, got married and unmarried, lived or worked in five countries, spent hard times with the American military as a contractor in the sands of Iraq and Kuwait in our most recent war and found success in the Oil and Gas industry. Add it all up, and you have who I am, what I write and how I write. Hope you enjoyed the last page.
