Overview: Theodore Lockard Thomas, born in New York City, New York on April 13, 1920 was a chemical engineer and attorney who wrote more than 50 science fiction short stories and novelettes.
Thomas began publishing work of genre interest with two simultaneous stories, “The Revisitor” for Space Science Fiction in September 1952; and “Improbable Profession” for Astounding Science Fiction in September 1952. His most recognized story, “Test” was published in the April 1962 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Several of his short fiction stories were nominated for both the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award.
Theodore Thomas collaborated on two well-received novels with Kate Wilhelm. One of which, The Clone, was nominated for a Nebula award.
Theodore L. Thomas died on September 24, 2005 in Tuscon, Arizona.
