Overview: In 1970, Marlon Brandon finally broke ground on his private Tahitian atoll; A massive undertaking requiring monumental resources, specialized architecture, and intercontinental management. But after three years — of start-and-stop progress, missed deadlines and overdrawn accounts — Brando is broke, and necessitates the services of a money manger to attend to his years-long bad investments, unresolved divorce settlements and idiotic/borderline-fraudulent schemes. Enter business administrator: ROGER C. VERGIN. For the next five-to-six months, Vergin was briefly Brando’s fixer (wannabe right-hand man).
Roger Vergin eventually uprooted his family to Brando’s exotic South Pacific island: Tetiaroa; Where he dispenses with his predecessor, negotiates with native workforces and attempts fulfilling Brando’s dream Eco-resort. Additional duties include: juggling household budgets of ex-wives, babysitting Brando’s children, choreographing his boss’s current girlfriends & side-pieces, gossiping with longtime-Team Brando staffers/employees/advisors, all the while researching new investments for both Brando and his resort.
Briefly featured in the 2024 feature film Waltzing With Brando (adapted from Roger’s aforementioned predecessor: Bernard Judge’s memoir); Vergin is momentarily represented on-screen as “Tim,” Brando’s new Project Manager.
