Overview: When I was writing the chronicles that I later compiled into the volume which I titled From This World and the Other, it never crossed my mind that one day I would write novels. It is true, however, that these will not be fully understood without reading the chronicles. In other words: in the chronicles lies the embryo of almost everything that later grew and prospered… I see now that, in an unconscious way, I was already pointing out to myself the direction of what my work would be from the end of the 1970s onwards.
