Overview: Ayr Bray was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up in the farmlands of Eastern Washington. She is the oldest of five children. Ayr was blessed with very supportive parents who always encouraged her and provided opportunities for her to pursue her passion of writing.
Ayr began showing an interest in writing when she was about eight years old. She was given a blue diary for her birthday from her great-grandfather. Ayr used the diary not only to record the events of the day, but she began writing short stories, poems, and new lyrics to songs she heard on the radio.
By the time Ayr reached Jr. High School she began to take writing quite seriously, and by the time she entered Moses Lake High School she was constantly found with extra notebooks in her backpack, only these weren’t full of coursework, they were full of her writings.
