Overview: Patrick Scaffetti, born in 1950, taught English and Spanish at a suburban junior high school in Florida; and is currently an English Professor at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His wife Sandi, who has since passed away, was also a teacher. His hobbies, besides writing, includes tennis, golf, antique collecting, and reading. He wrote his first published story “A Matter of Practice” for the March 1977 issue of Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, while recuperating from a dislocated shoulder incurred in a skiing mishap.
