The term ‘Bruder Schweigen’ means Silent Brothers in the Teutonic tongue.
This term may have come from that epic Poem “Wenn alle bruder schweigen” When all our Brothers are Silent as a remembrance of another time, and to that ‘courage against all odds’, or it simply was something destined, something unconscious within the mind of Robert Jay Mathews, whose creation was the Silent Brotherhood.
The Shield on the front Cover/Frontispiece was his as well. The Ribbon surrounding the shield says: “Thou art my Battle Axe and Weapons of War” in Gaelic, and the Maltese cross, set in gold on a field of silver, is stamped with the word Fyrdung, also Teutonic, which means “Army of the Folk”, and was imprinted on medallions of Sterling Silver; these medallions were given to special members of this army of the folk’, and worn with distinction.
There will be many who are new to this story, and there are many who know the story, but not the whole story. Moreover, with that said, a story cannot really ever he told in its entirety, as the retelling comes from just one source, however much that story-teller intends to tell it all. This attempt, however, encompasses a much larger period than, heretofore, has been delivered to the public-at-large, and will present a historical drama without all the trappings, anti diverse personalities who, to the man, know absolutely nothing about the confluences, the real confluences, which brought this group together.
The drama of these days are over…the epic is just beginning.
With that said….let the Battle begin.
