This significantly enhances the azimuth resolution of radar, freeing azimuth resolution from the limitations imposed by the physical size of the antenna. Therefore, one of the advantages of SAR is its ability to achieve high-resolution imaging of the observed area by utilizing wideband pulse signals in range and Doppler frequency signals in azimuth. In addition, as an important microwave remote sensing technology, SAR leverages the unique penetration capability of microwave frequencies to operate reliably under adverse weather conditions, at night, and through cloud cover.
