Overview: This is a series of mysteries featuring Marc Edwards set in Upper Canada (Ontario) and Lower Canada (Quebec) before, during and after the rebellion of 1837. Don Gutteridge was born in Sarnia and raised in the nearby village of Point Edward. He taught High School English for seven years, later becoming a Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Western Ontario, where he is now Professor Emeritus. The author of fifteen novels, Don is also an accomplished poet and has published sixteen books of poetry. In 1972, he won the UWO President’s Medal for the best poem of that year. Don currently lives in London, Ontario.
