But as autumn matures, Ella starts to sense that this mysterious book might have more to do with her life than she first thought, as new possibilities appear before her.
Possibilities that include freedom, independence, and maybe even Margaret’s godson, Asher.
And for the first time since her parents’ deaths, Ella begins to wonder if a happy ending might be within her reach yet. If only she can find a way to write that ending as her own.
