Christmas at the Frosted Fir Inn (Pinebrook Christmas, #1) by L. Bennett
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 0.3 mb
Overview: She came to save a town’s Christmas festival. She didn’t expect to heal the brokenhearted man who kept the lights dark.
Beth McKinney is the invisible fixer. When someone else’s mess gets too big, she’s the one they call. With seventy-two hours, a blizzard raging across Vermont, and a career-defining promotion on the line, Beth arrives in the picture-perfect town of Pinebrook to pull off their annual Lighting Ceremony.
There’s just one problem: her reservation was booked for the wrong week, and the only roof available belongs to the Frosted Fir Inn—a dark, shuttered landmark owned by a reclusive local who wants nothing to do with Christmas.
Glen Hanson has spent twenty years keeping the holiday at arm’s length. Ever since the tragic night he lost his mother, his inn has stayed stubbornly dark, even as he secretly spends every December repairing the town’s broken lights in his cellar. He had every intention of turning the stubborn city planner away at the door.
Until he catches her in his attic, soldering iron in hand, bringing his mother’s vintage lights back to life.
Trapped together as the snow piles high, a reluctant deal is struck: if Beth can fix the strands, Glen will climb the ladders to hang them. But when Beth discovers an unfinished Christmas list hidden inside an old cookie box, their project turns into something much deeper—a quest to crown the entire ridge in light, and a second chance at love that neither saw coming.
Can two guarded hearts learn to trust before the final bulb is plugged in, or will Beth’s city career pull her away when the morning flight calls?
