Murder Under Tension: A Willow Creek Quilting Word Search Mystery Book 2 by Lainey Hollis
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 2 MB
Overview: Wayne Morrow’s filing system never lied. His killer just made it look like it had.
Evelyn Calhoun, retired librarian and Willow Creek’s most exacting quilter, has always had a talent for spotting what’s out of place. Wayne’s sewing machine shop is missing exactly the wrong service cards, the ones he pulled the night before he died, promising Evelyn a look once he was sure what he’d found. He never got the chance, and whoever silenced him has no way of knowing she doesn’t already have it.
Every name on the customer list has a reason to want that promise buried: a furious client who swore Wayne would regret keeping her machine, a collector who can’t account for an antique’s provenance, and an ex-apprentice fired over stolen parts. Deputy Aubrey Pruett is building a case. Evelyn is rebuilding a paper trail, one gap at a time, with a cat named Sherlock underfoot and no intention of sitting this one out.
The records went missing to protect someone. Evelyn intends to find out who, before that person decides she already knows too much.
