Dina Pembroke stood behind a crime boss’s chair for six years: iron skin, an ash-blond braid, freckles and a gold hoop in one ear. She knocks at two in the morning and asks Victor to take her weight so she can walk away. She doesn’t want gentle.
Petra Nakamura was the fastest courier in the city until a crash on a corporate track. Now she can’t stop moving, hasn’t slept in a year and eats all his crackers. The Book says somebody did it to her on purpose.
Roxanne Halloran is a Ramsey Shield handler rated F, a woman who remembers everything she sees. She walks in with his eleven felonies tallied on the train. The Book says her rating is a lie.
